Danger In The Valley

Thunder raised his dial up from the ground, he sniffed the air with his nose flared wide, his ears flicked forward and his ears scanned the lands, he could smell a strong smell of something that was not to be in his lands, he walked forward and looked around, there was something moving in the trees, he bared his ivory's and pinned his ears flat, he would show what or who ever this thing was, that he would kill them where they stood, it smelt like a cat in a way, it had a strong urine smell, he walked to the edge of the woods and then it all started.

The big mountain lion jumped out at him, it slapped it's paw at Thunder's face, Thunder jumped back and the cat barely got the side of his jaw with a claw, Thunder ran forward at the cat and reached his thick neck out and bit the lion on the side of his shoulder and ripped back, he hoped that would make the cat run, but it did not, Thunder let out a wild bugle over the lands to warn Up Beat and and his new adopted foal to beware and stay away from the valley. Thunder reared up and come down on top of the cat with his sharp daggers, he hit him in the side and made the cat give a loud scream that traveled for miles over the lands. The cat got up and hauled butt out of the lands with Thunder right on his tail. Thunder nipped his tail as he raced out of the dark lands.

Thunder stopped and shook his neck and snorted at the cat as he ran off and the Thunder turned around and headed back to the valley to find his mare and filly.

Up Beat's head shot up and she let out a worried snort. She heard Thunder's bugle and didn't dare to move forward, her body stiff, ready to bolt if any danger came over to her. Her nares flared wide, and her orbs huge with wonder, she snorted and stamped her foot, backing up slightly. Then her ears went back, she would attack the danger if it came to her,she was no fool. She called to the young filly Thunder adopted, She hoped the filly was out of harms way. She called out to Thunder to see if he was alright......
